Located at the Animal Health Complex at Colorado State University , Vital Rhythms reinterprets the electrocardiogram (EEG) vital signs of horses at various modes of activity to create a three dimensional mural of a horse. My role within this project was to consult about how these vital signs can be parametrically arranged into horizontally, stacked rectangular hardwood pieces of different sizes and stains to create a legible image. The result was 2050 hardwood pieces creating different visual experiences depending on the viewers vantage point.
